1. High level knowledge and understanding of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST) and how you have used the standards to promote quality teaching within your school or setting.*
2. A general understanding of the National Certification of Highly Accomplished and Lead Teachers process and the role of the Assessor.*

3. Excellent understanding and articulation of current pedagogy and classroom practice and what constitutes quality teaching.*
4. Demonstrated experience in observing teachers’ practice and providing professional advice and constructive feedback.*
5. High level analytical skills, including the capacity for moderated judgement of evidence of teachers’ work.*
- I am involved in staff discussions and analysis of teachers’ work and progress by evaluation of a range of evidence and observation of classroom practice.
- I lead processes to improve student performance by evaluating and revising programs, analysing student assessment data and taking account of feedback from parents/carers. This is combined with a synthesis of current research on effective learning and teaching.
- I lead teachers in applying skills and in-depth knowledge and understanding to deliver effective lessons and learning opportunities and share this information with colleagues and pre-service teachers.
6. Demonstrated high order interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work collegially, to write quality reports and the capacity to work to deadlines.*
- I communicate effectively and respectfully with students, colleagues, parents/carers and community members.
- I have developed high level communication skills evidenced in a number of ways. E.g. moderator feedback and/or other quality written feedback.
